[The following article by Simon Carless originally ran at Worlds in Motion sister site GameSetWatch.] Over at Gamasutra a couple of weeks back, we got an interesting article submission from a Chinese-headquartered gold-selling and power leveling company,
Usfine.com. Though its use of English was a little iffy, the piece was notable because it tried to present a history of the ever-controversial (and likely EULA-busting) third-party item-trading business, which has thrived through use of cheap labor in emerging markets.
So I followed up with the writer, the Chinese-based 'Smith Sam', who appears to be one of the owners of USFine, and got a little background on the company he helps run. According to Sam, there are forty employees at the company, which offers power-leveling (having a third party level up your MMO character for you) and in-game gold in a pretty comprehensive set of games.
His company's Top 5 most popular games in terms of demand right now are World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI ,Runescape, Maplestory, and Lord of The Rings Online. But they offer services for almost 15 types of game, including Vanguard, Sword Of The New World, Gaia Online, and even 2Moons.

In response to some rumours flying around that Blizzard will require WoW players to go Vista for the expansion, they confirm this is not the case. What is interesting is the comment that they are busy working away on graphical improvements which is good news for those of us who have upgraded our systems since WoW was released, although there are no specifics on what is being improved at this time.
I'm not quite sure what to say about this. We haven't released any information about specific system requirements for the next expansion.
Keep in mind too that we have always tried to do our best to both advance the development of the game as well as balance the system requirements necessary so as to make the game as available to as many people as possible. We're not changing that philosophy. :)

The title says it all. Blizzard has updated their Lich King section with
further information on the arctic wasteland of the Dragonblight. Also included is a fly-through movie, new concept art, and new zone screenshots. Lovely stuff!
Here dense forests surround a vast arctic wasteland littered with the massive, gleaming bones of perished dragons. In the center of this frozen expanse lies Wyrmrest Keep, a structure believed to be built by the world-shaping titans shortly after Azeroth's creation. Many legends hold that the five great Dragon Aspects were blessed within this fortress and given their charge to watch over the budding world. Perhaps it is for this reason that dragons nearing the end of their lives come to the Dragonblight to enrich the land with their passing.
